It’s Smiley Face Time! |

Isn’t it funny that when you tell people that you are trying to get pregnant that what you really are telling them is, “I am having lots of sex!” I always found that to be very awkward. But whatever, the bottom line is that I AM trying to get pregnant and right now we are doing it the old fashioned way! As you know I have been using OPK’s since last Wednesday, and finally, on Sunday I got my smiley face on the digital! You know what that means folks! It’s time to get busy!
I must admit that I found it much more pleasant this time around. The last time I used OPK’s was back in October. Then I felt a lot of stress, and I think my husband did too. It’s hard to have to “do it” on a schedule. But I think over time we have learned to relax. Back then I tried not to tell my husband about the “behind the scenes” stuff. I thought it would be unromantic, and would put too much pressure on him. But what happened with that is it put too much pressure on ME! So I am extremely relieved that I can share things with him now. And that includes my smiley face pee stick! Woo hoo! When the happy little face showed up I ran downstairs to tell him. I think the trick is to keep things fun. During these times it’s important to laugh, and it’s important to remember how much you love each other. Yes, you are kind of on a schedule, but if you don’t look at it that way then you are much better off. It goes with the idea that the more you HAVE to do something, the less you WANT to do it. The more I focus on that WANT, the less I remember that we HAVE to. I am much happier now that I accept in my heart that it’s really up to God. We as people can only do so much each month to get it right. At least I know that I am doing all I can to beat the odds. And what am I doing you ask?? Well I’m a lady so I won’t kiss and tell..but I will tell you this. They don’t use little rabbits to show your fertile time on My Monthly Cycles for nothing! It’s smiley face time baby! Comments (4)

... I have a complete love/hate relationship with OPKs. But I have yet to try the smiley face ones - which is what everyone recommends as the best! Great post! Go smiley face time! |
